PROJECTS
BUILD OUR CLASSROOM AND BATHROOM
GOAL: $35,000
The most immediate end-of-year need is a classroom for our rising 4th graders for the beginning of classes on February 10, 2020 (the Nicaraguan school year runs early February through late November). Construction needs to begin by the end of this month if we are to have a place ready for our eager and expectant students.
This year, with over 150 students in Pre-K through 4th grade, we'll also need to add another bathroom for the upper elementary school children. Our current facilities were designed for pre-schoolers, and with only 4 stalls, we were already feeling the pinch. By constructing a new bathroom near the upper elementary classrooms we will be able to return to our preschoolers their own space.

OUTFIT OUR CLASSROOM
GOAL: $3,000
A classroom isn't just four walls, a roof and floor. We'll need to outfit our 4th graders and their classroom teacher with all the equipment necessary for a beautiful and functional learning space.
You can help us provide desks and chairs, whiteboards, curriculum and student supplies, along with the teaching aids to bring the larger world to life for our wonderful students. All classroom supplies are locally bought and/or built, which helps infuse some much needed resources into Nicaragua's ailing economy.

FIX OUR "ROADS"
GOAL: $15,000
This year we hope to tackle the most pressing challenge at the school. A half kilometer of well used dirt track leads to the campus from the paved road. Its a big problem and getting worse every year, especially during the rainy season!
It saddens us to say that some days parents can't make it through the mud on foot or bicycle, while those with cars or motos often get stuck. Many children get to school muddy and wet, ruining their one pair of school shoes. Mending the road is a big job, but will have an outsized impact on everyone's days. With the need for classrooms each year, its fallen to the back burner, but it CAN'T be ignored any longer. You can help get it done by donating to this worthwhile and much needed project.
